To enroll in the Iron Workers Local 704 Apprenticeship Program, an applicant must first complete a T.A.B.E. ( TENNESSEE ADULT BASIC EDUCATION) Test, which is given every tuesday @ 9:00 am, at the Chattanooga Career Center. Located in the East Gate Town Center@ 5600 Brainard Rd. Chatt. TN. Applicants should recieve a 9th grade level score in reading and math. Those that score below that level may still be considered to enroll into the apprenticeship program.

Minimum Requirements to apply:

1. Be a minimum of 18 years old
2. Have earned a high school diploma or GED
3. Be a resident of Ironworkers' Union Local 704 jurisdictional area
4. Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
5. Submit current drug screening
6. Must have a current Drivers Licence
7. Submit statement of physical examination by a qualified physician
8. Have the physical ability to preform the tasks of the Trade as described in the US Department of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles
9. Submit a copy of the applicants birth cirtificate
